Intro

The journal that follows was written by Jack the Anvil during the events described. It was not written to serve as a polished account or a complete history, only a record of what he saw, what he believed, and what he chose to put to paper.

Years later, it was found among his belongings by one of the Runeborn children he once sheltered.

The business he helped build continued to operate.
The children survived.

Jack and his companions did not return.
