From the City With No Name to Order of the Holy Reviled - A Red River RPG Development Update

It has been an exciting and productive few weeks at Red River RPG, with major progress on the Chaos Uncovered Saga and the first public sessions of Order of the Holy Reviled at CypherCon 2026.

Chaos Uncovered Is Heading to Print

The final layouts are now complete for all three adventures in the Chaos Uncovered Saga:

  • The Hands of Chaos

  • The Eyes of Raja

  • Cult of the Rat Lord

The layout for the Chaos Uncovered Saga Limited Edition Hardcover is also done! This exclusive 160-page collector’s volume brings all three adventures together in a single, beautiful hardcover book.

What we hope will be the final physical proofs have now been ordered from the printer. Once they arrive, we will carefully inspect each book for print quality, color, readability, and any last issues that need to be corrected before release.

Reaching this point has been a long journey and one helluva learning experience. What began as a single adventure has grown into a complete urban-fantasy saga filled with competing factions, Rat-Kin warrens, forbidden relics, hidden cults, and multiple secrets buried beneath the streets of the City With No Name. Seeing the completed books move into physical proofing is an incredibly rewarding milestone for us!

Preorder Time Is Running Out

With the books entering their final production stage, the preorder period will soon be coming to an end.

Until then, you can still take advantage of special preorder pricing on the individual adventures and other available Chaos Uncovered products. This is also your final opportunity to reserve the Limited Edition Hardcover.

The Limited Edition Hardcover will only be available during the preorder period. Once preorders close, this exclusive edition will no longer be offered.

Order of the Holy Reviled at CypherCon

I also had the opportunity to run two sessions of Order of the Holy Reviled: The Saint of Burgas at CypherCon 2026.

Both sessions were amazing, and our tables were blessed with fantastic groups of players! The players seemed to genuinely connect with the setting. It was exciting to watch them step into the roles of the Holy Reviled, condemned souls and supernatural outcasts forced into the service of a Church that fears them, needs them, and may never forgive them.

The players embraced the moral uncertainty, supernatural mystery, and difficult choices at the heart of the game. Their choices and reactions reinforced what makes this setting so compelling to develop: the characters may possess extraordinary abilities, but they remain vulnerable, haunted, and caught between what they have become and what they are still capable of choosing.

Running The Saint of Burgas for new groups also provided valuable insight into how players interpret the setting, its factions, and the role of the Order. Every table approaches the mystery differently, and those unexpected decisions are helping reveal new possibilities within the world.

We are now in the process of scheduling additional playtesting sessions. I cannot wait to see more players enter this setting and to continue expanding on its history, locations, characters, secrets, and supernatural mythology.

There is still a great deal of worldbuilding ahead, but CypherCon made one thing clear: Order of the Holy Reviled has a world worth exploring…so that is exactly what we are going to do!

Thank you to everyone who played, offered feedback, followed our progress, or supported Red River RPG. These projects continue to grow because people are willing to step into these worlds with us.
